The first meeting of reflexologists in Athens, Greece took place in 1983. Reflexologists Balomenos, Kolovou, Matzivi, Vretta, Andreou, Stravelaki and Agapitos were the pioneers that first set the foundations for the later creation of the Greek Reflexology Association.

The Association was officially founded in 1992 under the name Association of Greek Reflexologists (A.G.R.) and is since based in Athens.
